The Gateway Church is a church community in the heart of Des Moines with a vision to practice the way of Jesus. People from across all spectrums of life and faith join together in a communal journey of being formed by the presence of God. Gateway believes God’s embodied goodness brings wholeness to individuals, families, workplaces, schools, and neighborhoods.

We believe integrating presence, formation, and renewal is at the heart of Jesus’ ministry and is the unique invitation to the church in our time and place.

The Iowa Architectural Foundation (IAF) is a group of passionate volunteers working to inspire an appreciation for architecture and design in everyone through education and outreach. As a non-profit organization, the IAF brings architects and designers, educators and students, and architecture enthusiasts together to improve the quality of life in the state of Iowa through architecture and design.

Mainframe Studios is the nation’s largest nonprofit building for creative workspaces, located in the heart of downtown Des Moines.

Feel free to explore the building on your own anytime during open hours at your own pace. Occurring on the first Friday of every month, the First Friday themed open studio events are your chance to tour up to 180 artist studios, enjoy special exhibitions, food and live music.
